Purple Artificial Flowers
Purple is the most underused colour in artificial flowers, which is a shame, because it does something none of the others manage — it reads as both rich and calm at once. Deep purples and plums bring a luxurious, slightly dramatic feel; softer lilacs and lavenders are gentle and cool and work where pink would feel too sweet.
The range includes the classic purple flowers — lavender, orchid, hydrangea, delphinium, allium and tulip — spanning that full range from pale lilac to near-black plum. Because purple sits opposite yellow-green on the colour wheel, it looks especially strong against fresh green foliage, and rather flat against grey or brown backgrounds without that contrast.
It works particularly well in bedrooms, studies and anywhere you want a considered rather than a cheerful mood, and lavender in particular suits kitchens, windowsills and rustic schemes. Pair with plenty of green foliage to make the colour sing, or with white flowers to soften a deep plum arrangement.
