UV Resistant Outdoor Plants & Trees

Standard artificial plants are made for indoors, and putting them outside is the fastest way to ruin them. Ultraviolet light breaks down the pigments, and within a single British summer a rich green will drift toward a chalky yellow-grey. Once that has happened there is no reversing it. Plants in this range are manufactured with UV inhibitors specifically to slow that process down.

That makes them suited to the places real planting struggles: north-facing courtyards that get no light, roof terraces too exposed and windy for anything delicate, balconies nobody can water regularly, shaded basement areas, and porches and doorways where you want year-round green without the upkeep. They are also a common choice for rental and holiday properties, where nobody is on site to tend real plants between guests.

UV protection slows fading; it does not make a plant immortal. Expect a good few seasons of strong colour, longer in a spot with some shade, and bring lightweight pieces in or weight their pots before winter gales. For taller outdoor pieces see outdoor artificial trees, and for venues with fire regulations see our fire-retardant range.
